Westfield Crossing Guards By Bill Griffeth June 21, 2010
Over the past two weeks I've taken photographs of the crossing guards at various intersections in the First Ward, where I live, to emphasize how important these men and women are to the safety of Westfield children. In recent years, three pedestrians have been killed on or near streets in our town. Heaven forbid a child is added to this sad list because economic considerations lead town officials to eliminate a crossing guard post. Bill Griffeth, Westfield
