Police Seek Information on Missing Westfield Teenage Girls

Update: The Westfield Police Department advised at 4 p.m. EST, March 17, 2006 that the missing girls have been found in New Orleans, said to be following their favorite band. They are OK. They reportedly ran out of money. One of the girl's brother is traveling to New Orleans to pick them up.

WESTFIELD, NJ -- Parents reported their two 16-year-old Westfield teenage daughters missing last Monday, March 13. The two girls are friends. The police believe they may be following a bandís touring schedule through North Carolina and Texas. A friend of one of the girls lives in Pennsylvania and police searched her Bensalem, Pa. home but didnít find anything.

Westfield police sent the girlsí photos and descriptions to all New Jersey police forces, port authorities and to Bensalem, Pa. Every stop on the bandís tour has been marked and police in the respective towns notified. One of the girls has been in contact with her mother.
