Judge Cuddie Davidson, Jr., 77, Dies; Assistant Prosecutor, Town Attorney... Westfield will remember a long- time servant of the community, as well as the judiciary, when retired Superior Court Judge Cuddie E. Davidson, Jr. is memorialized this Saturday, January 23, during a 2 p.m. service at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield.


DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENTS… Senate President Donald T. DiFrancesco recently presented a check for $200,000 to Scotch Plains Mayor Geri Samuels and former Mayor Joan Papen. The grant will be used to facilitate the develop ment of a new municipal parking lot behind retail establishments located on East Second Street. The state aid grant for the downtown improvements was initiated by Senator DiFrancesco and approved by the Legislature and Governor Christie Whitman as part of the Fiscal Year 1999 Budget Appropriations Act.
