CHRISTMAS PIPES… Members of the Watson Highlanders Pipe Band perform traditional festive bagpipe music for downtown shoppers. They will perform again this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

SANTA CLAUS COMES TO TOWN… An estimated 500 children, including Mayor Joan Papen, waited in line to whisper in Santa’s ear last Sunday at the Scotch Plains Village Green gazebo during “Old Fashioned Holiday Fun” and warm weather. The event was attended by over 3,000 people and was sponsored by the township and Scotch Plains Business and Professional Association.
