Filmmakers Symposium Announces Fall Schedule

Imagine seeing a major motion picture before anyone, then the lights come up, and there, in front of you, are the creators of the film, ready to answer questions and discuss their work.

Filmmakers Symposium has hosted 186 such movie premieres in New Jersey in the past six years.

Oscar winners and nominees such as Danny Aiello, Alan Arkin, and James Cromwell, among others, have shared their insights with Symposium participants.

Some of the movies already confirmed for the fall season include Critical Care, with James Spader, Albert Brooks and Kyra Sedgewick; The Edge, with Anthony Hopkins, Alec Baldwin and Elle Macpherson; Fairytale, with Peter O’Toole and Harvey Keitel; Washington Square, with Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ben Chaplin, Albert Finney and Maggie Smith; Welcome to Sarajevo, with Woody Harrelson and Marisa Tomei, and Wide Awake, with Denis Leary, Dana Delany, Robert Loggia and Rosie O’Donnell.

Filmmakers Symposium can be taken at either Sony Theatres in Mountainside on Monday evenings beginning September 22 (the second session begins November 3), or at Eatontown Sony Theatres Monmouth Mall on Tuesday evenings starting September 23 (second session begins November 4). Both are sponsored by Monmouth University. For further information, please call (800) 222-7719.

The series is open to anyone, but seating is limited, so early enrollment is advised. A subscription is $95 for six weeks or $178 for 12 weeks, plus a $20 registration fee.
