Decorators' Show House Rhododendron Hall Decorators' Show House

Rhododendron HallThis historically significant classic Gothic-Tudor house was designed by Cooper and Cooper, and built in 1930 for Samuel Candler Dobbs, the third President of Coca-Cola. Set on 9 1/2 lush landscaped acres surrounded by ivy covered terraces, stately shade trees and pines, an English-style garden, and a tennis court, "Rhododendron Hall" promises to delight all who visit. Constructed of brick, warm golden stone and half timbers, the two story home is topped with a slate roof and gabled wings. Leaded glass windows and carved, solid wood doors with weathered metal fixtures add to its authentic classic Tudor styling. This magnificent house has 15 rooms, 6 baths, staff quarters, and out buildings including a guest cottage, 3 car garage, glass sided pool house with kitchen, and his and her bath houses. An outstanding historic structure, the house is a private residence, and affords itself beautifully as a comfortable home.

The 1997 Show House will feature over 23 interior and 7 exterior areas. The interior areas include: a great hall, foyer, loggia, living room, sunroom, library, morning room, the galleries, guest bedroom, master bath, his bath, gentleman's retreat, lady's bedroom, connecting bath, gentleman's bedroom, art and meditation area, lady's office, upstairs' den, back staircase, kitchen, family room, powder room, and dining room.
