Miss Nicole Gragnano To Marry Jonathan Behler
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gragnano of Westfield have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Nicole Marie Gragnano, to Jonathan Chandler Behler. He is the son of Ms. Susan Gemmill of Volcano, Hawaii and Roger Behler of Edwards, Colo.

Miss Lande Ajose Weds David Nixon
Miss Lande Ajose of San Francisco, the daughter of Olusegun Ajose and Gene Wollenberg, was married on the evening of Saturday, June 19, to David A. Nixon. He is the son of James and Melba Nixon of Westfield.
The Reverend D. Maurice Charles of Stanford University performed the ceremony at the Trentadue Winery in Geyserville, Calif. A dinner reception immediately followed at the winery.
The bride wore a simple, sleeveless ivory silk and satin gown by designer Richard Glasgow of New York City, adorned with a cathedrallength veil. She carried a round bouquet of creamy white lilies and garden roses.
Miss Heidi Philbrick of San Francisco was the maid of honor for her sister. The bridal attendants included Miss Bunmi Ajose of Albany, Calif., also a sister of the bride; Miss Carol Nixon of Washington, D. C., the sister of the bridegroom; Miss Gina Airey of Pasadena, Calif., Miss Robin Lenhardt of Washington, D. C. and Mrs. Lucille Renwick and Mrs. Sarah Williams of New York City, all close friends of the bride. The bridal attendants wore crepe periwinkleblue gowns designed by Watters & Watters.
Michael Somerville of Chicago was the best man. Serving as ushers were Michael Nixon of New York City, the brother of the bridegroom; Kola Ajose and Tayo Ajose of Albany, Calif., the brothers of the bride, and Bob Jackmin of Fanwood and Jay Post of employed as Director/ Buyer for the
Squash Blossom, Fine Art & Jewelry in Vail, Colo.
Her fiancι, who attended Emerson College in Boston and the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley, is employed by Oakley as Sales Manager for the State of Wisconsin.
A wedding is planned for November of 2000 in Spring Lake.
Old Guard Programs Unveiled for December
WESTFIELD The Westfield area Old Guard has announced its programs for December, which include a tour of Drumthwacket, the New Jersey Governor's Mansion, and the organization's annual Christmas party and luncheon.
At its regular weekly meeting today, Old Guard member Al Morasso, Jr., will provide a slide presentation and lecture on lighthouses. A portion of the meeting will be devoted to election of officers for the year 2000.
The 23 Old Guard chapters from all over New Jersey will gather on Monday, December 6, in Colt's Neck for their biannual interchapter conference, where all chapters address local chapter issues, plans and programs for the future.
On Tuesday, December 7, a number of members from the Westfield Old Guard chapter will travel to
Princeton for a tour of Drumthwacket and will also view the festival of Christmas lights.
The last regularly scheduled meeting for the year will be held on Thursday, December 9, at the Westfield Y. This meeting will feature the annual Christmas program, including the Cranford High School Madrigal Ensemble under the direction of musical director Linda Helmke. In addition, the Reverend Herbert Brynildsen of the United Methodist Church of Westfield will offer a Christmas message and a blessing.
The last event of the year will be the Ladies Day Christmas Luncheon on Tuesday, December 14, from 11: 30 a. m. to 3 p. m. at Snuffy's Pantagis Renaissance in Scotch Plains.
The first regular weekly Thursday meeting in the year 2000 will be on Thursday, January 6.
Annual College Night Draws Hundreds at WHS CHOOSING A COLLEGE Westfield High School junior Jenna Davino and

WESTFIELD Hundreds of students and families attended Westfield High School's annual College Night on November 18.
More than 200 colleges and universities were represented, providing literature and answering questions about their schools. The High School's College and Career Resource Center was also open for parents and students to visit.
This event gives students and their parents an opportunity to gather in formation about colleges and universities
nationwide, noted Dr. Robert Petix, Principal of Westfield High School.
Gymnasiums, cafeterias and classrooms were filled with college representatives and interested students and their parents.
Westfield High School's College Night, hosted by the High School's Guidance Department, was originally begun more than 30 years ago by the College Woman's Club of Westfield.
Junior Woman's Club to Host Fundraiser With Santa Photos
FANWOOD The Fanwood Junior Woman's Club will host its annual Photos with Santa Fundraiser on Saturday, December 4, from 10 a. m. to 1 p. m.
Santa will arrive on the 10: 20 a. m. train at the Fanwood Train Station. Admission is $3 and includes crafts, games, candy necklaces, coloring and face painting. The cost per picture is $3.
All proceeds from this event go to the Scotch PlainsFanwood Scholarship Fund. The Fanwood Junior Woman's Club is part of the National Organization of Woman's Clubs dedicated to serving the communities throughout the United States.
Scotch Plains PBA Kicks Off Annual Holiday Toy Drive
SCOTCH PLAINS The members of the Scotch Plains Policeman's Benevolent Association have kicked off their sixth annual "Toys For Tots" toy drive.
Last year more than $3,000 in games and toys were donated. These gifts were placed in baskets and distributed to local churches and religious organizations throughout the community.
New toys and games are needed for this year's drive. All donations may be dropped off at the Scotch Plains Police Department in the lobby, where a special barrel has been placed.
The cutoff date for donations will be Friday, December 17. This will allow for distribution for the holiday season.

The bride, a graduate of San Francisco University High School, earned a bachelor's degree from Occidental College in Los Angeles and a master's degree from the University of California, also in Los Angeles.
She is currently a doctoral candidate in urban planning and public policy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge.
The bridegroom graduated from Westfield High School in 1984 and received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University in Ithaca, N. Y. He also earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He is employed as an associate with the San Francisco office of A. T. Kearney, a management consulting firm.
Prior to the wedding, the couple was feted at a Nigerian engagement party hosted by the bride's mother, Ms. Olusegun Ajose, at The Oak Tree in Oakland, Calif.
The rehearsal dinner for the wedding guests was hosted by the parents of the bridegroom, Dr. and Mrs. James Nixon, the night before the nuptials at the Geyserville Inn in Geyserville.
Following a wedding trip to Bali and Hong Kong, the couple reside in San Francisco.
