sponded Allen. “I don’t know what that means in terms of what Oak Knoll has, but I do know that Summit has a good team,” added Allen.

As to Westfield’s reclassification to Group 3, Allen stated, “Millburn moved into Group 3 last year, so now it going to be Millburn, Morristown, Westfield and Scotch Plains-Fanwood.”

Allen concluded, “Our biggest rival is always Westfield and they have the Matro sisters at first and second doubles and Ilka (Netravali) at third singles. They will be very tough, but I think that it will be a good match.”

head. I trapped it, ran by him, beat the sweeper, kicked it (the ball) and it hit the left post,” explained Rapuano

The clocked ticked down to 7:00 before the next score came. Laing controlled the ball around the right side and took a shot which was blocked. Alertly, Moser zoomed up on the left and banged a right-footed shot into the net from 10-yards out.

“It was really close. Tafarie (Laing) worked real hard and got the ball loose. I got a foot on it to finish it. The defender was a little off position and I finished it,” explained Moser.

With 3:52 left, Ferrara received a corner kick from Fiorino on the left side and headed it into the left side of the net from eight yards out to give the Raiders a 3-1 lead.

“I got the corner kick from Fiorino, the box was empty, the ball hooked to my head and I put it in,” explained Ferrara.

After the game, Moser expressed his feelings about the defensive tenacity of his Blue Devil opponent. “Stotler did a real good job all day long blocking me. I have to give him a lot of credit.”
