Dominican Republic Children

SCOTCH PLAINS – The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and students from Coles Elementary School in Scotch Plains have been involved in several service activities during the holiday season.

Currently, the students are participating in a clothing and toy drive to aid the children of the Dominican Republic, which was recently ravaged by Hurricane Georges, leaving many people without even the basic necessities.

Kristin Santin, a teacher at Coles School who is presently on leave working for the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic, has informed colleagues and students back home Kristin Santin
