The Arthritis Foundation’s "Joints in Motion" Team of volunteers is headed to Ireland at the end of October to run in the Dublin Marathon.

These 90 people from New Jersey are working hard to raise $288,000 (or $3,200 per runner) and train for the 26.2 mile run through the streets of Dublin. Kate McAneny of Summit is pictured here at NJ Shore Marathon.

Two runners from our area, Lauren Howard (Westfield) and Kate McAneny (Summit), are part of the team and looking for your support. They are requesting donations from Westfield area businesses, and anyone individuals in our community who would like to help.

Support Groups (learning and sharing information about the challenges of living with arthritis)

Self-Help Courses (treatment plans including exercise, relaxation, nutrition)

Exercise Classes (land and warm water classes)

Education Programs (pamphlets, magazine, health fairs, physician programs)

Arthritis Research (national and local research projects, grants to arthritis doctors/specialists)
