2012-11-07 8 am - Summary: Progress is being made though many homes and businesses remain without power. Gasoline problem appears to be easing. Buses are running, some trains are running; check your service. Police, fire, rescue and utility repair personnel are doing a terrific job. Check locally for your schools status as situations vary. Most public offices are open. Post offices are working overtime. Several streets remain impassible. Communication is improving. Gas is sold on an odd/even system.
