Candidate Bio and Statement:
    I currently serve as Chair of the Assembly State Government Committee, Vice Chair of the Assembly Transportation Committee and as a member of the Assembly Appropriations Committee. I am proud of my work in Trenton and hope to continue to represent the people of the 22nd Legislative District.
    In the past term I am proudest of legislation that I sponsored that would restore the funding for women’s health programs in New Jersey because it would cut our costs and safe lives; legislation that would reform our civil service rules while protecting due process; legislation to ban the sale of “bath salts”; and the implementation of the law I sponsored which requires cars to stop for pedestrians.
    If I am re-elected, the first issue we take up mush be the property tax crises we continue to face. We must build consensus on how we fund education in order to reduce the property tax burden. We must continue to address our economy and put New Jersey back to work. In addition, I want to continue to work on my legislation that addresses health care costs. My legislation will improve wellness and reduce chronic disease costs, which are the largest portion of our health insurance costs.
