Candidate Bio and Statement: www.scotchplainsdems.org I am presently serving my first term on the Scotch Plains Council. During my time on council, i have repeatedly voted against escalating budgets and wasteful spending. I am focused on making Scotch Plains more affordable without losing our great quality of life in town. A strong advocate for fiscal responsibility and eliminating waste, I believe we should cut duplicative and wasteful administrative costs insuring that we are getting the most value for our tax dollars. I strongly support sharing services with nearby towns to reduce municipal operating costs. As a supporter of local community events, I led the successful effort to save the 2010 Cultural Art Summer Concert Series by partnering with local businesses. I am devoted to addressing and supporting the recreation and social needs of all our citizens. I am a facilities management expert who advises businesses on real estate needs. I volunteer and supporte the local Houses of Worship with their fundraising efforts and currently serves as a member of the Advisory Board of Managers for the Runnells Specialized Hospital in Union County. My wiife of 37 years, Joanne, and I have two sons Thomas and Kenneth.
