Editorial:
One People for One Purpose, That’s the American Way...There are certain
things in life that feel so good when they’re over – such as the relief
that comes about after a toothache and the tooth is pulled, or when one
drops off their IRS tax filing to the post office – paying taxes is a
patriotic act we’ve learned. We chose to write this before the election
results are known for one overriding, essential purpose; regardless of who
wins, it is paramount that we all come together as one people, one country
- for the common good. That’s the American way.

Government Reform Thought:
It's time to eliminate the compensation that government officials, police chiefs and school superintendents get for accumulated vacation and sick
days upon retirement. They have a right to vacation and they should take
it but not to be paid for it. Sick days are a safety net, not a form of
compensation. The practice is abusive to the taxpayer.
