BIG SPORTS WEEKEND...The Westfield High School boys swimming team returns home victorious on Sunday after winning another state championship. Fire trucks, rescue squad ambulance and police cars led the parade

Editorial: The Governor Took the First Step In the Tremendous Battle Ahead...New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine, on Tuesday, took the first step in Trenton toward dealing with the fiscal crisis in the state. The next several months will involve a tremendous battle - unfortunate, but necessary for us to right ourselves.

Editorial: Kudos to County Clerk for Discovering Error in Presidential Primary Results...Union County Clerk Joanne Rajoppi was double-checking election results from the February 5, New Jersey Presidential Primary when she kept coming up with errors on a handful of machines. The results between the machine cartridges and the paper backups showed discrepancies.

PULLING OUT ALL OF THE TRICKS...Blue Devil John Barnes, top, used an arsenal of moves to grab a 16-1, technical fall over Cranford's Matt DiGiovanni in the 125-lb finals. It was Barnes' second District 11 title.

Devil's Den: A Weekend to Remember For All WHS Followers

Government Reform Thought: Now that Governor Jon Corzine has set an example by actually reducing spending by $500 million from last year, it is now time for our local school boards, municipal, and county governments to follow suit.  See Year-to-date Reform Thoughts.
