PATIENCE...Approximately 100 residents attended the Scotch Plains Board of Adjustment meeting last Thursday to hear deliberations on the proposed 120-foot high cell tower at the Willow Grove Swim Club property. Parents attending were concerned about the potential health effects of the cell tower as the proposed location is near McGinn Elementary School. The meeting was adjourned after midnight and will be continued in September.

CAL RIPKEN CHAMPIONS…The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raider 9-year-old boys and their coaches rejoice after defeating South Orange-Maplewood, 5-0, in the championship game at Booth Field in Scotch Plains on July 15. Blue posted an unblemished 6-0 record.
