Accomplishments: Former Borough Council President and Chairman of Administration and Finance Committee;
Known for his fiscal conservatism, proactive approach to local issues and successful record of securing grants to ease local tax burden of Fanwood homeowners and businesses;
Led the effort to construct the LaGrande Park recreation building;
Initiated the Fanwood Community Assessment committee, which led to a boost in volunteerism and the creation of the quarterly “Fanwoodian” newsletter;
Council Liaison to Public Safety, Public Works, and Recreation committees;
Fanwood advocate to Union County Community Development Block Grant Committee, which resulted in infrastructure improvements to Fanwood’s historic train station, the Municipal Building, the Fanwood Memorial Library, and LaGrande Park;
Former member of Fanwood Planning Board; Serving his second 5-year term as Fanwood representative to the Plainfield Area Regional Sewer Authority (PARSA);
Secured valuable preventive maintenance services from PARSA for Fanwood sewer system.
