Information
Professional
Background: Mr. Stroz has been an attorney since 1997. After accepting and completing a Law Division Clerkship in Warren
County, Mr. Stroz practiced as a litigation associate in prominent New Jersey law firms. Currently he is starting his own law practice.
Education:
The candidate received a B.A. in Economics from Queens College,
a part of the City University of New York. Subsequently, he completed a dual-graduate-degree program offered by the Rutgers School of Law – Newark and the Rutgers Graduate School of Management, earning a J.D. and M.B.A., respectively.
Family
Life: Mr. Stroz and his wife Barbara were married in 1990 and have four young children. The Stroz family has lived in Fanwood for almost nine years.
Government
Experience:
In 1997, Mr. Stroz served as a Law Clerk in the Civil Division of the Warren County Superior Court. In Fanwood, he currently serves as an alternate to the Fanwood Shade Tree Commission and previously served on the Fanwood Strategic Plan Advisory Committee.
Major Campaign Issues: Mr. Stroz is running for Fanwood Borough Council in order to restore the fiscal responsibility and sound reasoning that only a return to a two party government can provide. He will move to block the impending South Avenue high-density housing projects that threaten to explosively increase both our traffic problems and school taxes. Overdevelopment of the Borough Hall property in our Historic District will also be confronted. Instead, Mr. Stroz will work to pull the Council back in the direction of growth that will fit a small town like Fanwood and use the downtown redevelopment revenue to provide direct tax relief to the people.
