Professional
Background: Frank
Arena is a 13-year Westfield resident and a senior sales
executive with an industry leading information technology
company, F5 Networks. Over the course of his 25-year
career, his clients have included major financial
institutions and The City of New York. While working with
New York, Frank assisted several of the city’s largest
agencies, including The Mayor’s Office. Frank’s long
term public sector experience introduced specialized
technologies and IT solutions to New York City which
improved efficiencies within NYC government institutions.
These solutions also play a major role for his clients’
business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Education:
Mr. Arena is a graduate of Susquehanna University in
Selinsgrove, Pa., where he received a B.S. in Business
Administration with a dual emphasis in Economics and
Marketing. His professional certifications and
accreditations include Cisco Security Sales Specialist,
Cisco Routing and Switching Sales Specialist, Cisco Sales
Expert v3, Network Appliance Accredited Sales Professional
(NASP) and Network Appliance Partner Sales Accreditation
Family
Life: The candidate lives on Coleman Place with his
wife, Lori, and two children, Christopher, 12, and Carli,
10, who attend the Roosevelt and Franklin Schools.
Governmental
Experience:
Mr. Arena
has been active in the Westfield community for years. In 2004,
he ran for Union County Freeholder and received more votes in Westfield than any of the eight candidates on the ballot. Currently, he is a
member of the board of the Downtown Westfield Corporation (DWC), a member of the College Men’s Club of Westfield, Westfield Baseball Association, former Westfield Soccer Association coach and Westfield United Way Pillars Club. He and his wife, Lori, have been active supporters of the Franklin School PTO.
