Background:
The candidate works
as the Assistant Chief Administrator of
Agency Services for the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. Mr.
Sullivan also serves as chairman of the North Jersey Transportation
Planning Authority.
Education:
Mr. Sullivan
is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a Bachelor’s Degree in
Government.

Life:
He and his wife Connie live in Elizabeth and have three
children: Brendan, Kristen and Daniel.

Experience:
Freeholder Sullivan began his career in public service when he was
elected to the Elizabeth Board of Education in 1993. He was appointed to
the Freeholder Board to complete a one-year term in 1995, and then
elected to three-year terms in 1995, 1998, 2001 and 2004. He served as
Chairman of the Board in 1998 and 2000 and Vice Chairman in 1997, and
1999. He chairs the Union County Open Space Trust Fund Committee,
serves on the Community Development Block Grant Committee, and Advisory
Board of the Disabled.
