Background: Mr.
Alber achieved the rank of captain
in the United States Marine Corps. He served nine years as a
financial management officer in the Marine Corps before leaving
service, and he was selected for a promotion to major.
He held the positions of deputy finance officer (MCAS El Toro, CA),
budget analyst, (Headquarters Marine Corps, the Pentagon)
and comptroller (4th Marine Corps recruiting district).
He was awarded two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals for superior service, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service
Medal and 2 Meritorious Unit Citation ribbons. Mr. Alber
currently works for Ernst and Young, LLP in Technology and Security Risk Services practice in New York providing attestation and advisory services to Financial Services organizations.
He is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association,
and he passed the Certified Information Systems Auditor examination.
Education:
Mr. Alber received his bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech
and his MBA from Florida Tech. He graduated the Officer's Candidate School, USMC, Leadership School
and the Basic School, USMC, Leadership School. He was an
honor graduate of the Financial Management Officer's Course,
USMC.
Family
Life: Mr.
Alber has been married to Stephanie for 10 years; they
have four children - Noelle, Nicholas, Chase and Hannah.
