Background:
Currently, Mr. LeStrange is employed as the security consultant for the
New York City law firm of Sidley Austin LLP. The candidate is a retired
police lieutenant from the Scotch Plains Police Department. He served 22 years
with the Scotch Plains police force and three years as a Westfield
police officer.
Education: The candidate holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Seton Hall
University in South Orange, NJ. He also earned his master’s degree in
public administration from Farleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ.
Family
Life: Mr. LeStrange and his wife live in Scotch Plains. He has one daughter,
Elizabeth, and three stepchildren, James, Joanna and Jenna.
Governmental
Experience: Mr.
LeStrange has been involved in local government as a police officer for
25 years both in Scotch Plains and Westfield.
Clubs
and Organizations: The
candidate is currently a member of the Union County 200 Club, The Union
County Emerald Society, the Mountainside Elks, NJ State PBA, and former
member of the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad. He is also a member of
the St. Bart's softball league.
