Mr. Strauss is a
named partner in the law firm of Weiner Carroll & Strauss. He has been an attorney for
over 20 years, and he handles matters in both state and federal courts
throughout New Jersey and within adjacent counties in New York.

The candidate has a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in Zoology and
Physiology, a master's degree from Boston University in Physiology and
Anatomy and a JD from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan. He graduated
from law school Cum Laude and was a member of the law review and served as
its articles editor.
Family Life: A lifelong Union
County resident, Mr. Strauss is married to Angelique and his two sons, Joel,
18, a college freshman, and Benjamin, 14, a freshman at Scotch Plains
Fanwood High School.
Governmental Experience:
Mr. Strauss was active
in local government when he lived in Fanwood, serving as a member of
the borough's zoning board of adjustment and planning board.

Committees: Mr. Strauss was a member of the executive board and served as
a division vice
president of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Youth Baseball Association for
three years. He has also been a coach for both of his sons' teams in
baseball and soccer. Professionally, he participates in various
