Background:
The candidate works for the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies as an
Assistant Vice President.
Education:
Mr. Mirabella graduated from Hobart College in Geneva, NY with a B.A. in
Economics.
Family
Life: Mr. Mirabella and
his wife Phyllis live with their son and daughter in Fanwood.
Governmental
Experience: The candidate
has served on the Board of Freeholders since 1997. He was Vice Chairman
of the Board in 2000 and 2005 and held the Chairman position in 2001 and
2006. As a freeholder, Mr. Mirabella served as Chairman of the
county’s 9/11 Memorial Committee, which oversaw the creation of the
9/11 Memorial in Echo Lake Park. In 2001, he also worked to increase
Union County parkland through the Open Space, Recreation and Historic
Preservation Trust Fund. Before his election to the Board of Freeholders
in 1997, the candidate served on the Roselle Park Borough Council from
1991 to 1996, where he was Council President in 1994 and 1995.

and Organizations:
Mr. Mirabella serves on the Veterans Affairs Committee, the Industrial
Pollution Control Authority, the Fire Services Advisory Board and is a
member of the Union County Vocational-Technical School Board of
Education.
