HOME...Area soldiers from the New Jersey National Guard of the 250th Signal Battalion march home to the Westield Armory on the last leg of their journey from duty in Iraq Monday night. A
Rousing Welcome Home!
Soldiers of the 250th Signal Battalion deployed in Iraq out of the Westfield Armory returned home Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Westfield Police and Fire Department escorted them and the
streets were lined with flag waving well-wishers - giving the returning soldiers a proper escort.
Thank you 250th.
On Monday, November 7, Company B left Fort Dix on a commercial bus at approximately 4 pm and arrived at the Westfield Armory at about 5 pm.
They got off the Parkway in Clark at exit 135, traveled up Central Ave, turned on Grove Street in Westfield and went up Rahway Avenue to the Armory.
The final contingent returned Wednesday
evening, also to a rousing welcome by the town. See
