Newsflash 10/3:  Train Rides are still on for Sunday in Westfield, thanks to NJTransit for providing a backup diesel for ol' 142 steam locomotive which had a bearing breakdown Saturday. The steam train rides from Westfield on October 2 and 3 are a popular spectator site downtown. Rides are sold out for the weekend. Spokeman Chris Cotty for the Steam Train organization told The Leader Sunday morning that the engine is in Dunellen but just too heavy to jack up and fix. They'll drag it to Utica for repairs. He said the town has just been great and they hope to be back. Cotty said his group is just too dumb to give up. Click details for photos and article.  Details
