Newsflash 11/30:   The annual Westfield Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will be held this Sunday, December 5th at 5 p.m. at the Train Station, Northside. The Fanwood ceremony is also Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Fanwood Train Station. The Mountainside Tree lighting is Saturday at 4:30 at Borough Hall. The Scotch Plains holiday celebration is this Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Village Green.

PRESERVING HISTORY...The home at 1 Kirkview Circle, which was built in the early 1800s, is being deconstructed and transported to Maine for reconstruction. The portion of the home on the left-hand side of the photograph was built in the 1920s and is being torn down.
