ITALY OR BUST...The Scotch Plains delegation to Montazzoli, Italy, the sister city of Scotch Plains, left for Italy last week. The group, which included Mayor Martin Marks and Councilwoman Carolyn Sorge, will stay with families in the sister city and will also visit Rome.

FUTURE ACTING GOVERNOR...Senate President Richard Codey held a press conference in West Orange on August 13. He will take over as Acting Governor when Governor McGreevey steps down on Monday, November 15. He also served as Acting Governor for a day after Governor Christie Whitman's resignation.
