RUN FOR IT...Over 1,400 runners participated in the Downtown Westfield Corporation's 5K and Pizza Extravaganza. The winners of the race were Gene and Amanda Mitchell of Franklin Lakes, who own the Running Company on Elm Street.

NIGHT OUT...America's Night Out Against Crime was celebrated at Allen Augustine Park in Scotch Plains on August 3. The program for youths was sponsored by the SP Police Dept. DARE had many events for kids including a clown making balloon animals.
