WHS Wins Record 19th State Swimming Title
TRENTON--The Westfield High Boys' Swimming Team won the state
swimming championship title today, March 1. This tied the record
at 19 with Trenton for the most state swimming titles in the
history of the state. As the bus with the team left Trenton on
the way to Westfield, Mrs. Tola Baran was on the cell phone with
the Leader office advising the expected arrival time at the
Westfield border with Clark. The Police, Fire and Mayor met the
WHS Champions and escorted them with a parade; victorious horns
blasting. A pizza celebration ensued at Sorrento's for the team.
The
Westfield Leader Office will relocate on April 1, 2003
