Towns Can Now Regulate Trash Collection Times

AN UNWELCOME SURPRISE…Upon finishing work this Tuesday, Melissa A. Betkowski, a reporter for The Westfield Leader and The Times of SP/FW was greeted by a parking ticket under her windshield wiper. Ms. Betkowski’s vehicle carries a handicapped placard which, under New Jersey law, allows a disabled person special parking privileges.

SPECIAL COLLECTION…The Friends of the Scotch Plains Library held a clothing drive at Park Middle School on May 12. Volunteers gathered outside of the school with bags filled with clothes collected during the drive.
