Local Realtors Announce Promotions, Awards, Events

Burgdorf Era

WESTFIELD — Carol Tener, a top producer at Burgdorff ERA, Westfield Office, was named Saleswoman of the

Month for October with five transactions, representing over $2.7 million in sales.

Ms. Tener has been a member of the New Jersey Association of Realtors (NJAR) Million Dollar Club every year since 1984, earning the Gold Achievement Award in 1992 and 1993 with more than $10 million in business. In addition, she garnered Silver Awards in six other years.

She has also received the NJAR Distinguished Sales Club Awards, a recognition of professional accomplishment for those who have achieved the NJAR Million Dollar Sales Club status for a minimum of 10 years. She was also recognized as a member of the Burgdorff’s “Elite Group” at the Annual 1999 Awards Luncheon held at in February.

Thrift Shop Holiday Boutique To Open for Season Nov. 28 Reservations Due for AARP’s

Annual Holiday Luncheon

WESTFIELD – Westfield Area Chapter No. 4137 of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) will hold its Annual Holiday Luncheon, featuring entertainment by the Westfield Old Guard’s Merry Men, on Monday, December 4, at noon at The Westwood in Garwood.

The luncheon costs $16, including gratuity, and will replace the chapter’s regular monthly meeting which normally takes place at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield. Reservations may be made by calling Luncheon Chairwoman Marie Stock at (908) 9252536 no later than Friday, December 1.

On Wednesday, November 29, the AARP’s Tray Favor Group will meet at 1 p. m. at the Scotch Plains Public Library to make decora tions to be placed on the food trays

Reservations are being taken for a day trip to the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse on Thursday, February 15. The cost is $45 and will include lunch and a performance of the comedy Nuptials, plus deluxe bus transportation. The bus will leave at 10 a. m. and return in midafternoon.

SCOTCH PLAINS – The FanwoodScotch Plains Service League will commence the Christmas Boutique at its Thrift Shop on Tuesday, November 28, at 10 a. m. The Thrift Shop is located at 1730 Second Street in Scotch Plains.

A gift table featuring many brand new items will be available. Christmas decorations and holiday fashions will also be offered at the store.

In addition, there will be drawings for prizes, including a doll house. No

purchase is necessary. Individuals need only put their name and telephone number in a box to be eligible for the drawing.

The drawing for the doll house and other prizes will take place on Thursday, December 14. The Thrift Shop will close for the year on Friday, December 22, at 1 p. m. The shop’s Grand Winter Reopening will take place on Wednesday, January 3, at 10 a. m.
