ERA Summit Chairwoman To Speak at Next Meeting Of Women’s Political Caucus

PLAINFIELD – Roberta W. Francis, Chairwoman of the ERA Summit, will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Union County Women’s Political Caucus.

The meeting will be held this Monday, March 6, at 7: 30 p. m. at the Plainfield Health Center in Plainfield.

Ms. Francis will discuss “The Equal Rights Amendment: Unfinished Business for the Constitution.” She is Chairwoman of The ERA Summit, a national coalition working for the ratification of federal Equal Rights Amendment.

She served as Director of the New Jersey Division on Women from 19901994 and is a gender equity consultant and writer primarily with the New Jersey Project on Inclusive Scholarship, Curriculum and Teaching at William Paterson University in Wayne and the Frederick Douglas Programs on Race Relations and Gender Equity. She has also served on the faculty of William Paterson’s Women’s Studies Department.
