IN THEIR HONOR…Recruits from the John H. Stamler Police Academy in Scotch Plains salute a special memorial honoring fallen police officers from throughout Union County during a recent ceremony. Here, with local police chiefs and their classmates looking on behind the academy building, they unveiled a floral wreath and read off the names of the 28 officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
